Danish partners from the Center for Biosustainability at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU-CfB) will lead research into efficient syngas fermentation. The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (CfB) is a DTU research and innovation centre established in 2011. It is part of a cluster of research centres aiming to attract the world’s best researchers, creating the basis for internationally oriented and innovative research conditions.

DTU-CfB aims to be a worldwide leader in cell factories design, construction and deployment and be a driver for change towards a biosustainable society. The Center for Biosustainability has state-of-the-art laboratories in Lyngby, Denmark. The Center is equipped with a solid fermentation and analytics platform, including HPLC, LC-MS, and GC technology, robotics platform for rapid cloning, adaptive evolution and multiplex genome engineering, High Throughput Screening platform, RNA sequencing platform, 5 million gene sequences database (soon expanded to 50 million) and Genome scale models.
